My bad luck with propane

Today i tried to put a propane tank on my grill. The tank is one of those small camper tanks. It started spraying and wouldnt stop. So I decided to eat chips and salsa instead of chicken. Then my roommate told me there is a special way you have to put the tank on because his grill is semi-broken. Just my luck.
